Switching phone Help Please

Ok, so I am giving my incredible to my DH. What do I do to it before I transfer his number to it? I would like to take my contacts and apps etc... off of it, does that mean I have to do a factory reset? And, what is the best way to clear the SD card?

What's a DH?
Is the Incredible currently on your line? If not, call VZW and activate the Incredible on the other line. If you want to clear the Incredible for the new user make sure you do a factory reset and format the memory card.

Lol. Best way to format the SD card would be to plug the phone into the computer and switch from "charge only" to "disk drive". On your computer go to my computer and locate the SD card, right click and format it. Good luck!

Your contacts should be synced to your gmail account so should be ok with that.

A factory reset would work to clear all of your data.

As far as the sd card goes, is it the same size 16GB card that comes pre-installed on the Rezound? If so why not just swap your card from the DInc to your new Rezound and give the one in the Rezound to your man? That way you won't have to re-upload any media to the new sd card. That would be the simplest way and should not give you any problems.

I reformatted. I have the Rezound now. it has a 16 gig card. My Dinc only had an 8 gig. Hopefully, I'm doing all this right! I supposed I shall find out! LOL

I think I did everything right. He now has my Incredible. I told him to treat it with kindness....he laughed at me. I told him I wasn't kidding.
