So i just thought i'd let you guys know.

I signed up for the swype beta a couple of months ago and just got in. I'm now running swype.

I wasn't really interested months ago when it was available then all of a sudden i was and i couldn't get it....

it's pretty interesting and makes one handed typing alot easier. Maybe faster on the N1 since the digitizer is junk. I never was able to get iphone 3g typing speeds out of the n1.

heh ,i get pretty impressive typing speeds of of my N1 ,depends on how chunky your thumbs are and how good you know the keyboard.

..oh yeah ,if your screen protector is crap ,then that's your problem.

no screen protector, no chunky thumbs. I was getting pretty quick just not as quick as w/ the old 3G.

hm... no idea then ,i'm getting really good speeds out of mine. didn't get my girlfriends 3gs next to it ,but it's fast.

I prefer my SwiftKey keyboard.

My friend, who owns a iPhone 4, was so surprised when she answered my other friend "We are at the library" by just 6 clicks (W = We and then the rest started just popping up as the next word in the order.)

I think you guys spend too much time at the library!

My swiftKey is NOT that responsive at all!!! I need to put in half the letters for the words for the prediction to work!

I've gotten used to swyping by now, pretty decent speeds as long as you stick to clean and normal words.
If you like to get funky, you can just type out your wacky words. But the greatest downside is that all your typed words are added to the dictionary and there's no easy way to manage your dictionary.. You have to accidentally reswype the wacky words and then erase em.
It needs some minor tweaks to be an absolute lightning-fast keyboard.. But I like it so far.

Just saw that the Swype beta was re-opened for download. I must say, it is a lot more accurate than I would have imagined. It'll definitely be my default keyboard from now on.
