Help Swype editing problems

Lurker
when I mistype a word, help says to tap on the word once and a word list comes up. Unfortunately, on my galaxy ace, this doesn't happen. Instead I get a blue pointer that looks like its something to do with copy and paste.
Can anyone help me so I can get the word list up as I mistype many words and its driving me nuts having to delete the word and retype. thank you

tap and hold the word till the menu comes up,press select word till it highlights in blue, then press the swype command button on the keyboard(has an i in a white cricle and a blue swype sign with a finger on it). Then just delete the word from the swype list.

Hope this helps.

When you're in a typing box (like writing a txt) click on the bottom left button on the keyboard. Does that bring up the word selection box?

Of not, then just click the same button & hold it down for a second. This should bring up a 'tips' box. Click options, and scroll down the options to when it says 'word choice window'. Select that, and move the bar along to the right. That should sort it. . .

Oh I read that totally wrong lol, ignore my reply, I posted how to delete mispelt words that swype has saved lol.

If you go into settings, locale and text/swype settings, you will see an option for the word choice window. There is a slider bar in there, adjust it as required for it to pop up. Yours maybe set to never.
