Help Swype issues after Gingerbread upgrade

I have a few issues with Swype since I upgraded to Gingerbread. When I was on Froyo Swype was fantastic but since I upgraded the accuracy of getting the right word is no where near as good... Have they messed around with some settings? How can it be made better?

Also I don't seem to be able to delete words from the Swype dictionary anymore... When i highlight a word it comes up with word suggestions but when I try to do anything the blue outline appears around the screen as though there is a fault...

Are these known issues and if so is there a fix/update to Swype that will fix it? Or better still can I just go back to Froyo Swype?

Just had a look on https://beta.swype.com/android/welcome/detailed and it seems that Swype can be upgraded to the new version 3 but you have to uninstall Swype from your phone first. I've found Swype in Manage Applications (I have version 2.26.68.19015 installed) but there is no way to uninstall it as far as I can tell...

Did you update to the official 2.3.3 via Kies? Did you factory reset your phone after updating to 2.3.3?

Yep did both of those things... Gingerbread version of swype just seems really buggy and inaccurate now...

No one else having similar issues?

To delete a word from your dictionary, you need to highlight the word and tap the blue Swype button located bottom left.

Swype in Gingerbread is certainly flawed but it is a definite improvement from Froyo.
