Help Swype keyboard problems...please help.

I have a Mytouch 3g with 3.5 headphone jack with the 2.2 update. My swype keyboard kept having an issue where it wouldn't respond when you pressed the screen, it just beeped an had a blue surrounding box that showed around the keys. I tried many things to fix it and somehow managed to make swype disappear (kinda). The original android keyboard is the only one the comes up when I try to input text. I did a factory reset thinking it would bring Swype back as default but it didn't.

In my language and keyboard section I don't have any way to select which keyboard I want as default so how can I make swype my default again?

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Never mind guys. I just fixed it.

For anybody with a similar problem, I ended up dowloading another keyboard from the market. When I went to install it it was giving me a choice finally for a default keyboard. I selected Swpe and now it shows as my default when I try to type something.

As for my original problem with the keyboard not working when I pressed a key, I think the factory reset done first would have probably fixed that issue.

Hi. I've been using Swype for & long a I've had Android phones and LOVED out. All of a sudden it's messing up.
It just stops inputting after I'm in the middle of a msg. It'll show a word suggestion, I tap on it and nothing happens. Or it just won't let me input anything. I haven't installed anything. It just started a couple hrs ago. I rebooted it twice and it's still doing it. Had to switch back to Samsung our Android k.b. I really hate both cuz of no Swype and no characters on the whole middle line ie: &$45+:". Hafta keep switching to sym, back n forth.
Is there a way I can uninstall and reinstall it. Or is there another fix a available?
