swype needs re-instal

swype needs re-instal after turning phone on.off everytime :confused:
even when you go into options and tick enable box , it still wont work untill you re.download and instal it , there no problem so long as you never turn the phone off, but its a bit of a pain , or is it just a glitch of htc desire phone , otherwise its a great app
anyone else ?
 
Why does it need a re-install? I'm assuming it's because you can type with the Swype keyboard, but can't swype. If so, try this:

after you reboot the phone, go to a text input area (any text input area) and longpress and change the input method to stock (i.e. not Swype). Then change the input method back to Swype; Swype might now work.
 
well i just tried it , and it does bring the swype back ,, but it wont swype it just tap types now :confused: when i try to swype it makes a sound and dont type ??
shame coz this is good app when its working , but if you gota faff with it everytime you boot phone i will have to get slidit:(
 
Normally you don't have to mess with it at all after a reboot. Have you tried removing the installer and Swype and re-downloading the installer from the Swype site and trying again.

Oh, and I assume you are unrooted and running the stock ROM...if not....
 
You have to leave the installer on the phone even after you have Swype up & running as this is how they push updates.
Did you post this on the swype forums?

ah yes this seems to fix it now , i tried it a few times , and it does work if you click stock then go back to swype , :o
iwas just cliking swype before , oops

god knows why swype dont fix this
