How are most of u setting accuracy vs speed for inc. I an far less accurate on inc than droid moto. Default? Up on accuracy or up on speed?

I like the default settings! Some like a little more speed but I find default incredibly fast

BUMP..

I am curious to other people's settings for speed vs. accuracy and word choice window settings...

do most people use word prediction? i honestly don't see what the difference is when i have the box checked vs unchecked.

OH YEA, why can't i double tap a word to edit it?? Whenever I double tap a word, nothing happens!! When i watch the tip videos on swype.com they always mention "double tap" to edit. Does anyone else have this problem?

anyone having trouble double tapping to edit?

does the word have to be spelled incorrectly or can you double tap any word to get other suggestions???

I agree, Swype for Incredible seems far less accurate. I used swype on WM6.5 with a smaller screen and it seemed a lot more accurate.

What version of swype are you all using? Ive noticed there's two versions floating around: I'm using 1.25.16.5612, but I've seen 1.25.16.5652 floating around

I put mine right to the right on most accuracy because Im not in that much of a rush to type things. Would rather get it right the first time and a reasonable speed :)

What's the story on Swype anyway? I get the notion that it's a type keypad app, and I think I recall reading references to an app of that name about a year ago from some unhappy people who could no longer use it (at the time I was just looking for an improvement to the HTC keyboard, minus the learning curve). I never got the dope on what made Swype so missed, what it could do which other apps can't, and why it could no longer (then, anyway) be used. Can somebody fill me in on what I missed?

Early on it was a hassle to upgrade the Swype software, especially since they would make your current version expire so you HAD to go through the hassle to get it back. Now you install a Swype Installer that handles it all for you. There aren't any issues for me using it on my Inc, and has been that while for a while.

Swype was used to set the world record for fastest text message on a touch screen. Swype - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
