Have you changed the keyboard to the Swype Keyboard?

When your keyboard is open bring down the notification tray and click on "choose input method" and select Swype

It is already on it :/ could there be another reason?

You could try clearing cache, or it that fails, try uninstalling and re- downloading the app.

Just remembered, if you are using a pre installed version of Swype, you won't be able to uninstall it. Clearing cache and data is the most you could do in that case.
