Sync HotMail contacts

My wife uses HotMail as her primary server - too many logistical problems to switch to GMail. Of course, there's no "native" HotMail Android app, so she uses the Hot Email app. It works fine for reading/composing/managing mail, but there doesn't seem to be a way to sync contacts. She missing something? Another app better?

In a side note, thanks to all who have helped us get started. 10 days now with our pair of new LG Optimus S. I hope soon to stop asking questions and start answering.

Well if you set up a Gmaill account, you can then import the contacts from your various hotmail/whatever accounts.

In Gmail under Settings/Importing/Import Mail and Contacts.
Yeah, it is a circuitous way to get where you wish to be, but...it works.

I use K-9 mail, free from the Market, to sync my hotmail accounts.

K-9, IMHO, is far better than the stock email prog. and allows you to store your emails on your SDcard.

I'm currently running 3 accounts on it using POP3 settings.

Hope this helps. :D

She's already done that. But, it's a one-time, one-direction process. She needs to sync. Changes in Hotmail account reflect on phone and vice versa. Thanks anyway.

We'll give it a try. Thanks.
