Help Sync Notification won't go away

The sync notification is showing on my notification bar at the top of my screen and it won't go away. It just stays there. I have tried to clear it but nothing works. I've done 2 hard resets and it still showing up. How do I get rid of it. I've never had this issue before. Someone please help me with this. Thanks
 
Did you remove any applications from the phone recently?

I believe if you leave the sync option enabled for an application before you remove it, the sync icon stays active continuously.

You need to disable sync for whatever applications you're removing before you remove them.
 
I did a hard reset so all my apps got deleted so what do I do now. Theres got to be a way to get this thing off.
 
Yes a few when i first rooted but none lately. Why did this not show up before? I don't think it will even let me sync. When I go into settings>accounts & sync. google and then choose the Sync now button, it does nothing. Before I use to get a green circle that would rotate until the sync was complete. Now it won't even do that.
 
I'm not really sure. Sorry I wasn't more helpful. I know there is an issue with not disabling sync before you uninstall system applications, but that's all I'm aware of.

Also, my apologies for the late reply. I am at work.

What I would recommend you do is post this (or request a mod move it) to the all things root sub-forum, as you might get more informative replies there.

When you say you did a "hard reset," what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about a factory reset via recovery, or did you just do the reset while booted normally?
 
I found out what the problem is. My contacts will not sync with my facebook account. I must have accidently deleted something for facebook when I rooted my phone. What I need are the all the files for facebook. If someone has them, could you please post a link to them. Thanks.
