Sync only phone numbers with Gmail

Hey

I have phone linked with my gmail account and now have all phone numbers converted to GOOGLE instead of PHONE on my hero but now I would only like to Sync one folder where contacts with phone numbers are say titled PHONE ONLY, is it possible for me to choose which folder of contacts from gmail I want to sync with my phone ( so I dont get miscellenous email addresses in my phonebook on my Hero) Any ideas?

Go to People, tap the Groups icon on the bottom, then hit Menu. Last option is "Sync groups". Uncheck "Sync all Contacts" and check which groups you want to sync.
