Hello,
I am experiencing some problems with both Exchange Sync and Gmail Sync once disconnected from WiFi using Smart Actions.
When I am at work or home I have Smart Actions turn off my data connection. I'm on a fast WiFi, so no need for the cellular data... right? I can save some of my awesome battery!
Both Gmail and Exchange will sync fine when I'm connected, however once I'm disconnected -- after about 8 hours -- they both will not work.
Active Sync, when forced to update, will spin the throbber for about 15 seconds and then stop. No connection error... it's just like there's no e-mail to pull.
I have Active Sync set to push.
Gmail behaves the same way.
Anyone have help for this situation? My first thought is to delete and restore both accounts, but that might be going too far.
Current debugging steps...
If I reboot my phone, all is fine. Both accounts will sync again over either method. I can switch from one to another with no drop of connectivity.
After rebooting, I can toggle between WiFi on & Data off using Smart Actions and it works fine.
