Help sync with my gmail - something i dont get here...

Hey guys

i have been trying for hours to figure this one out but with no success

in the begining i sync all my contacts with my gmail acount and ever since that, every time i made a new contact, it asked me wether it should be synced as well.. so, being the thick person that i am every once in a while - some i told him to sync and some i told him to save only on my phone

now i do reverse this?!

how can i tell my phone to make all my contacts syncable with my gmail account - i basicly want all the contact i have on my phone to be copied to gmail as well, even those who are "phone saved only".

thanks for you time guys.

Hmm, well on my phone, running Android 4.0.4, it asks me which account I want to sync a new contact to, but there is no choice for None or Phone Only, I can't go make a phone-only contact to see what options you have available, but I've got a few ideas for you.

1: If you're on a pre-ICS build of Android, I think you might be able to hit Menu in the Contacts app and fiddle with the "View" options to tell it to display Phone contacts only. If you do that, you can possibly export that list to Gmail or go through it manually and sync each contact yourself.

2: If that doesn't work, you can try exporting your entire contact list and then importing it with Gmail; however, I can't promise you that this won't create duplicate contacts, which might be more hassle than it's worth.
