I use Windows Live Mail on my desktop and the S Planner calendar on my Samsung Galaxy Note. Is is possible to synchronise them so that an appointment entered, edited or deleted in one does the same in the other?

I was rather hoping someone might be able to answer my question. But now I see that life is more complicated than that. This is an introduction section and is not for support questions.
But why would anyone want to go through that - surely a new user like me logs in because they have a problem they would like help with? What do I have to do to get to the point where others can see my question, and hopefully someone might be able to point me towards a solution?
On other sites, dealing with things that I know a bit about, I am always respond with answers wherever I can. Ask me about genealogy and I might have some useful advice to offer. 50 years ago I was at the leading edge of IT, but now my children are infinitely more clued into it than me. But they don't seem able to help me with this problem, so I thought I would try you.
