Synching with a Mac

How do I get my Mac to recognize the G2? To synch w/ the G2. When i plug in the G2 to the usb port the Mac does not recognize it or mount it.
 
Does the Mac use drivers? (I have no idea - if I got one free I'd probably hock it.) If so, have you installed them (assuming that Samsung wrote any for the Mac)? Are you sure you're using a USB data cable, not a cable that just has the charging wires?
