Help Synchronisation problems

Newbie
From time to time, Google, Dropbox and Toodledoo cease synchronising. Google at least appears to restart when I move some apps into the SD card.
How can I make my shared applications synchronise reliably?
It appears that clearing apps to the SD card helped in the past but I have none left that can live on the SD card.

Can't speak for the other apps but Gmail sync problems are usually sorted by clearing data via settings>applications>manage applications>all>Gmail.
 
Any other suggestions? As it happens for several apps, is it something generally wrong? I have Android 2.2.2.

It IS memory. I just got rid of an app and internal space doubled and sync restarted.
WHAT eats internal memory and how do I stop it?
