syncing calander

[Android Question]

I have a galaxy s3, and just purchased a new laptop that has windows 8. I use my phone calander exclusively to make and change events but now that I have windows 8 id like to view my calander on the computer too. I find that any events that I make on the phone don't show up on the computer. It looks like the 'my calander' items aren't showing up on the computer, but id don't know what 'my calendar is! it doesn't have my email under it, so I don't know how to better sync the two.

Set up a calendar in your Google account on your pc (in fact as many calendars as you like)

On your phone set your Google account to sync calendars

Menu settings accounts Google
Select the Google account and tick sync calendar

Now in the calendar app you use select the Google account calendar to be shown. There is a big calendar button at the top of the splanner screen.

Generally "my calendar" is just on the phone and not synced although I think it can be synced with your Samsung account if you have one (rather like the whole Google set up but not as comprehensive)
