Syncing contacts from Outlook and music

Hello to all from a newbie in Luxembourg.

Although I'm currently an iPhone 4 user, I recently bought my wife a Samsung Galaxy S2 while passing through Hong Kong as she said she "might" be interested in upgrading to a smartphone.

"Great", I thought as if she didn't like it I would keep it and ditch my iPhone 4.

Unfortunately she loves it! And so do I!

So now I have to wait a little bit and buy myself a Samsung Galaxy S2.

But will be reading up a storm here in preparation!

Anyway; enough waffle and on to my query.

In my iPhone syncing contacts from Outlook is exceptionally simple (automatic) through iTunes. Similarly my music collection to the iPod function.

Does Kies do the same thing the same way? It looks very similar to iTunes. I see a lot of reference to doing it different ways through different apps which have to be downloaded first.

I want to do it simply and easily without having to involve additional apps.

What's the procedure?

Thanks,
John

Well - Kies should be perfectly able to do that - unless you are using Windows 7 64 bit, then it doesn't (for me).

I am using MyPhoneExplorer now and it syncs Outlook and controls the phone but it is not as easy and one-click as iTunes for syncronising everything. I don't want it to be anyway, I changed to Samsung to get away from iTunes.

Thanks, Jim.
That's what I had thought/hoped.
However, reading all the Kies horror stories here I was getting quite paranoid (being a techno-moron), and almost having second thoughts about my planned new purchase.
I'll just have to wait until I get my SGS2 and suck it and see! :D
