Help Syncing with Google

My Maxx is set up to sync with my Google account, for mail, calendar and contacts, however, the only the mail will sync. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

Hello and welcome to the forums, lfturtle.

I've noticed that Google Calendar and contacts sometimes take a while to come around to full sync after first setting them up. How long has it been since you set yours up?

You may have to check your settings to be sure it's all set to auto sync..or just do it manually in the menu.

By the way, I changed the prefix on this thread to "support," as the "tips" prefix is for the first post to be offering a tip, not requesting one. :)
 
Thanks for the info. I have checked to make sure everything is set to sync, and I tried doing it manually yesterday and nothing shows up, except my mail.
 
Under SETTINGS, go to ACCOUNTS and then look under your Google email address there. You will see you have to make selections for Syn this and that to include Sync Calendar.
Make the appropriate selections there and your issues will be a non issue.

Thanks, but I have done this and it dosen't help.

What market are you in? If other than .com, then remember that you need to specify that. Assumption is VZW, of course.

I am not in a verizon market area, if that makes a difference. The only thing I can think of is that there is something on my computer that is causing the problem. The phone seems to want to send the information, but nothing shows up.

That in itself is possibly the root of the problem. Thanks for sharing that you are not in VZW market. Some markets or even providers may be very different and some features may or may not work.

For example, Marketplace does not work in every country!
 
I am in southern Kentucky where we only have Verizon extended network. It would seem like it should still sync, however, I do have to travel to Tenn. to activate any phone I have. Maybe I have to go to Tenn. to sync my phone also.
 
It's funny the way that syncing works. With the help of a VZW tech, I disabled Backup Asst on my DRM, because it was interferring with storing my contacts on Google

Now when I add or update a contact on Google, sometimes it shows up almost instantly on my phone, and other times it takes a day or two to sync with my phone. Go figure.
