Syncing your Flytouch with your Windows PC, Mac, smart phone or Linux pc

Just come across this amazing app that will allow you to file transfer from or to your tablet to anything that has a browser.
The app is called Airdroid, and you can direct download from their site. To download just click on the download Apk and not the market link just above.
It also tells you things like battery life left, memory usage.
All you have to make sure is that your Android device and PC are on the same network. So in theory you could transfer files from one android device to another if they are on the same network. And best of all its free.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had a look at this but I find 'android sync manager' better as it syncs with 'Outlook' and 'Outlook Express'. Also free. Works in a similar way, over wifi, but has a server running on the PC & client running on the android device - not via a browser window. Can set up a sync folder to transfer files......
 
Didn't know about that one.
Mind you can't stand Outlook or Outlook Express. But it has kept be in beer tokens sorting out problems for clients when their email cr@ps out. Still the same problems no matter what version they have.
I like Thunderbird, but this too has a few problems. Or as Microsoft would say undocumented features.
Just exploring possible apps for syncing Thunderbird with my tablet.

Good info..

I'm used to outlook now...but I keep with 2003 version!! The main problem I find with it is the restore contacts doesn't work, and if you are not careful you can end up with multiple 'contacts' folders!!... not a problem now I have a backup of my contacts on my phone and can restore the laptop from there.

I was considering swapping to Google for the PC email/contacts/calendar..but then 'better the devil you know'!!

Whichever pop mailbox solution you choose having something that syncs properly with android is pretty much essential these days...and iOS for that matter....given the popularity of these devices.
 
Couldn't agree more.
Just tested the Provider addon for Thunderbird and I can add or change things on my Lightning calendar addon for Thunderbird and it will show the changes on my google calendar. Flytouch is charging at the moment so will see if it updates on there. If it does very cool. Not too worried about the contacts at the moment.
Now I can seriously think about getting a dual sim 3G Android phone :D

:D:D I just got me a Chinese rip off A101 in yellow!! right up my street!
 
I can also confirm that after adding a date in the calendar on my tablet and syncing it. (go to accounts and sync settings in the settings option) its also on my google calendar and on my Thunderbird calendar.
So even more of a happy chappy now.
 
Hi guys

I have a new Superpad 6 (android 4.0.3 )When powering the unit on the screen will show the TURSION logo then still flash to the android text long time i try reset tab but still problem ...plz hlp me
