Hoe can I sync my Galaxy NOTE with my PC so that a duplicate of my data in NOTE is stored in my PC ?

I follow the instruction in the manual. Load Kies air on my NOTE but nothing happened.

You install Samsung Kies on your PC then connect your phone to PC while Kies is running, then click on sync.
