Help system data is taking up to much space

I love this phone but im starting to hate it because I don't have enough internal storage to get any more apps I only have 6 apps that are small I have 8 gigabites of space and the sytem data uses 5 GIGS OF IT and i have 0 pictures and 0 ect I can't even get apps because of this and it keeps increasing every month and ive tryied so many things I have been trying to figure this out for weeks i need a solution.

Disable any preinstalled app you don't use. And if you are on Android 6.0, use adoptable storage.
