Help System memory too much?

Hey everyone,
The system memory on my Tab 3 8.0 is taking up 4.81 GB. Is that awfully high for a 16 GB tablet?
Should I do something to reduce it?

RAM should be as full as possible. Unused RAM is wasted RAM.

Or are you talking about storage, not memory? Android can easily take up about half the storage available. Yours is barely taking more than 1/4 of it.
