Root System ROM Bloated. How to Reduce

djgpenny

Newbie
Hello,

As you can see from the attached, my system ROM is nearly maxed out! It currently runs far slower than originally. Finding a way to relieve some of the load would seem valuable. My assumption: By reducing the load, my phone will run faster, like when processes are reduced for a CPU.

So, on to my questions.

1. If I relieve some of the load off my ROM, will it speed up my phone?
2. If true, how do I find and reduce some of this load?

Thanks.

Don't worry. System partition can be written just by system updates (official via PC or OTA) and isn't available for normal (non-rooted) user, so there's no need to have free space on this partition.
Slowing down of the phone is done mostly by some bad written application, try to see which application needs most of CPU (download "ASI" from Market or some other taskmanager) and uninstall or kill it.
