Root System UIDs Inconsistent? Feeling Lucky?

I just used link2sd to move a bunch of non essential apps to my 2GB ext4 partition at the end of my 32gb sd card.

Then I rebooted the phone and it said "System UIDs Inconsistent". I clicked the only option, Do You Feel Lucky?, then the phone finished boot. Google+ crashed after loading, and the Go Launcher's app launcher is missing Google+ and it's home screen shortcut is missing as well. In Link2SD, it shows it's a system app, so I converted it to a user app and it says "pkg: /data/loca/tmp/com.google.android,apps,plus.apk failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UID_CHANGED]". What in the heck is going on? On a separate occasion, I removed Google+ from the /system/app directory, then downloaded the latest version, moved it with link2sd, and all was well after a reboot.
 
Ok, I rebooted it and the message went away, but Google+ is not installed.

I tried to install it from the play store, but I get "unknown error code during application install: -24"

Should I just restore plusone.apk and plusone.odex to /system/app? Will the system automatically recognize them?
 
Normally it is just a file owner problem. I got that when I manually copied/linked some files to SD card. In my case, I lost all app icons that I linked to SD card. But the apps were still there. A command-line chown fixed all problems.

Thanks. I did some googling and I am trying to use rom toolbox lite to fix it, but it shows it's not installed.

I might have to do the factory reset to fix this. Is the factory reset problematic?
 
I'm going to have to restore from stock as the phone will not boot, its stuck at the metro logo and doesn't reach the animation. Is there a way to reset or should I restore from kdz?

could someone point me to the right guide for a stock restore from kdz ?
 
Okay I also have run into this warnig. "UID's on your system are inconsistant. You need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable."

I'm not sure where the data partition is located, I went to the data folder in the internal storage on the stock file manager app and it showed the data folder to be 699MB. I deleted the contents but not before renaming the data folder and copying it to the external storage for a safety measure. Once the data folder was deleted I rebooted but the warning came back up right away. I rebooted twice more but to no avail.

So I deleted the back up renamed data folder from external storage and made sure all was reset to the way it was before I made any changes.

Using Root explorer I checked on the data folder in the root directory and it shows 1.49 GB. First off why would the two folders be showing such a huge differance in size and is the data showing in Root explorer the actual data partition that was suggested be deleted to resolve the UID's warning?

I'm confused obviously because I don't know what they mean by the data partition and where its located or is it the data folder of 1.49GB I'm seeing on Root Explorer? I'm reluctant to delete this data folder on Root Explorer, should I rename it and then copy it to a new folder just to be safe and then delete the 1.49GB data folder? I don't want to have to go through another full restore especially with this computer of mine constantly freezing as the hard drive degrades more and more. Has anyone else resolved this issue without going through too many changes and jumped through too many hoops to get it fixed?
 
The fix i found on another forum was to reset all permissions on all user apps using rom toolbox, but it did not resolve it.

My phone was eventually soft bricked. I had to reload the kdz to get it working again.
 
Error -24 in the Play Store is app-specific, meaning if the app you wanna install gives off a -24, then it still has leftover data from the previous install, so the Play Store throws a -24, cause it doesn't know what to do with it. Usually a solution for this is to download a root file manager and look in /data/data/ and find your app's data in there and delete it, error should be gone after that. If not look around in /sdcard. Think of this before doing a whole restore. Just throwing out some useful knowledge :)
