System Update Checking

I am running a stock Liquid E, with the Rogers 2.2 update.

All is running fine, except that I am getting a "System Update Checking- Ask for Internet Access" message coming up several times a day.

Tapping through will initiate the update check, and after about 20 seconds, I will get the "Check Finished- No available updates found" message.

There is no harm done I suppose- just a bit of a nuisance. Suggestions?

Check your WiFi settings

Settings - Wireless WiFi & WiFi Setting, and turn off the WiFi

To save battery life, I generally keep wifi turned off. I turn it on only when I want to access wifi.

Having said that, the system update will pop up at any time, wifi on OR off.

open the 'update notification' app, goto settings, turn off auto check.
