Root System Update/Clockwork Manager question

Ok, I have a small problem. I have an LG Revo and got the notification to download and install an update. I have rooted my phone, but only did so to use the wireless tether. I've made no other changes besides installing titanium backup so I could freeze some bloatware. I have ROM manager on there, that I think a friend told me to install, but didn't need since I'm not flashing a new ROM.

Anyway, I tried to install the new update. When the phone shut down, instead of installing the update and then booting up, it booted up in Clockwork Manager, which I'd never heard of before. It was a menu. I have tried everything, including "install update from SD card". The problem with that, is I have no idea where the update downloaded to, so I can't select it. Doing some googling, I found out that clockwork manager was part of ROM manager, so I unistalled ROM manager and tried the update again. Yet, it still comes up in Clockwork Manager.

How do I get rid of Clockwork Manager for good so I can update my phone? Anyone have any idea? If not, how can I change the location for the update to be downloaded to so I can find it using clockwork manager? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue today as well. There was a zip file I loaded to get past the CRW but when I rebooted I did not get the VZW splash. Need help as well. I sent a personal message to MTMICHAELSON(?) for help because I have seen that user everywhere. I am ready to get rid of this phone completely. Nothing but problems since I got it.

You can't get the Verizon OTA (over the air) V8 update if you are rooted. You would have to flash original V7 firmware. The root for V8 hasn't been worked out yet. Your best bet is to just wait until it is if you want to keep your wireless tethering.
