I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. Recently I got a notice: "System Update Ready To Install." So I "tapped" to "install the new software" and after a little while got another notice that it had installed successfully.
24 hours later I got the same sequence of notices again.
After a week or so of successful (but actually unsuccessful) updates, renewing every 24 hours, I quit updating and just dismissed the notification.
I contacted Samsung directly through chat and got no help. I live in Oregon and after entering my zip code the chat tech told me I'd have to take my phone to Best Buy in Hawaii.
Eventually I took the phone to a Best Buy about 20 miles from here and the Samsung rep/tech did the upgrade again from files on his computer.
24 hours later I get the old same notification "System Update Ready To Install."
The tech at Best Buy suggested if the update from his computer didn't take, the only way to resolve the issue was to disable the notification--not really the optimal fix, IMO.
Anyone seen similar problem and found a way to resolve this?
