Help System Update Notification

I have the Sprint Galaxy s3 as of Christmas and ever since I turned it on, it's been stuck on this:

It hasn't went away, I've turned the phone on and off a few times and it's still there when I boot back up. The phone came with kitkat installed so it can't be updating to that.
Would this happen due to not activating the phone yet? I'm probably not going to activate it until February. It doesn't seem to be causing any thing bad to happen, it is just annoying and confusing is all, lol.
Nothing happens when I click on it, either.

Anyways, thanks for any help you can give and sorry if this is a stupid question, it has just been bugging me.

I got two S3s in December and the one I haven't activated yet gets this. But it doesn't prevent me from doing anything else with the phone ... it just sits there in the notifications. I think it's trying to update the PRL or something and since the phone's not activated, it can't.

Oh, okay, thank you very much for your answer! That eases my mind a bit that something isn't going wrong with the system. I figured it had something to do with activation but wasn't sure as my previous device never got activated and was just used as a wifi device and never had that happen. Thanks again!

My S3 also got an OTA update a week or so ago. I have Virgin. I inquired and it was said to be a maintenance upgrade (I was hoping that it would fix the battery drain but it didn't). I assume Sprint is also pushing this OTA update.
