On evo 4g you could set not to accept system updates....after rooting my galaxy s3...I don't want the system to update after rooting as this could cause a problem correct? Thanks for any help

I would suggest to update it, you can root it again if the update takes it off. Some updates are very important for security and bug-fix.

sorry for being a newbie, but how long usually it takes a system update for S3? Kies has an update for my S3.
