Help System volume keeps changing

I set my system volume at about 1 quarter but every so often for no apparent reason it shots right up to almost max. Has anyone else been getting this and is there a known fix?

I find it rather easy to accidantally adjust the volume by unintentionally pressing the volume buttons. Even without noticing it.

But this just alerts the ringer volume. Can't see how this would change the system volume. ie how loud the keyboard clicks

Unfortunately I have the same problem!
I have an HTC Sensation and I cannot find the reason of this problem.

I had the same problem with DHD.

Anyone can help?

I have a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and I'm having a similar issue with the system volume changing from 50% to max without doing anything. I finally had to go to silent mode to kill the somewhat annoying click when I touch the screen.

For me it's just the opposite. I get my notification volume set to max, only to find it down at one quarter or half later on (often while the phone has been resting on a table after I turned the volume up).
It's not just notification, other sounds change as well. I used to think that the function of volume keys changes depending on which application I'm currently in (so it affects dofferent volume setting). But that doesn't explain why the volume changes with the phone at rest.

It must be an app that I have installed that is messing with this. The question is which one...

Never really noticed as most system sounds are turned off on mine as they always bugged me but just checked and its set right to the max. I'm sure it used to be set low before I just turned them off

I had the same problem with my s4 and tried every trick I found on the Internet but nothing fixed it. I then remembered the problem began the same day I got new earbuds. I went back to my old set and haven't had the problem since.
