Root T-MO Black listed

So, I have a XTE Zmax that is rooted with stock T-Mo ROM, however, it's blacklisted. Any way to get it un-blacklisted and/or flash other software on it to move it to a new carrier?

I'm not a noob, just a Zmax noob.

Thanks,

same thing cant do anything with it beacause tmobile shared black list with att so u wont be able to activated in the usa

I think it depends on the reason why it was blacklisted. If it was blacklisted because it was never fully paid for then you MIGHT be able to activate it after paying the balance owed. If it is blacklisted because it was reported lost or stolen then you own a pocket sized wifi tablet/media player and there is no way to get it activated without breaking the law.

T-Mobile and ATT share the same blacklist database, so it won't work on either networks. Unlocking also won't do anything but you'll be able to use it on gsm networks outside of the US.

There are ways to get around having a black listed IMEI. You need to have a phone that is not blacklisted with the same data features (HSPA+, LTE bands, etc, etc) and a certain software package. Oh and did I mention that it is illegal? But if you don't care about the legality of such things, there are sites dedicated to such a questionable endeavor.

****Don't PM me about this, I will not point you in the right or wrong direction****
