Root [T-Mobile] Custom Boot Animation, Please Help

I have a rooted GS3 with T mobile, and according to SuperUser I am rooted.

I have attempted to change my boot animation using the apps available on the market but I can't get any to change anything.

I don't want to install a while new ROM, so is there a tutorial somewhere or just how to setup an app to work correctly?

This may or may not be compatible with Stock ROMs. I use a TouchWiz based ROM (Wicked v7) and the path is system/media/bootanimation.zip

When you find the animation you want, simply replace the stock animation with the custom one. Reboot and enjoy. There is a VERY small chance to brick your device while doing this, if you do something wrong. Majority of the time if it's screwed up, you'll have a blank animation. Be sure to backup first!

There are a bunch located in the app "ROM Toolbox". You can preview & install them, all from within the app.

I keep that favorited in case they add more. I check it about once a week.

You will also need a custom Rom that is compatible with animation.zip. The Samsung boot animations are in the Samsung format.
