Root [T-Mobile] CWM backup wrong date

Just rooted yesterday and finding my CWM backups have a (apparently random) date in 1970. I have read a lot of discussion of this, but no indication of how to fix it. I suppose it probably doesn't matter, but it seems odd...

Just download and use Rom Manager from the market. (buy it it's cheap)
and use that app and "Backup Current Rom" function. It creates the backup file with the correct date, and you can even rename the file to what you want to name it before you get into the actual backup process.

The Weird dates is because CWM is being booted into without any knowledge of the actual date.... odd yeah? anyway, it's not in their eyes, a date critical app, so thus no correct date is used. The Rom Manager middle man, makes the dates correct for you, or whatever you want to name the backup.

Good Luck!
