Root [T-Mobile] How to change bootanimation?

I'm on a root stock Rom with ElementalX-m7 kernel. And I renamed the bootup & bootdown, and put then in the customize/resource folder. And I changed the permissions, soooo what I'm I doing wrong? Do I have to change something in the build.prop?

The settings are in system/customize/ACC/default.xml

do you need to change things in build.prop? ive changed boot animations and never done that,tho admittedly not while on JB

have you deleted or renamed your stock boot animations? your new ones must also be named what the factory one was.

Thanks! There where 2 bootanimation files I had to delete the one that said TMOS on it.
