Help T-mobile lg g2 signal issue.

I am having an issue with my g2 holding a 4g connection. It seems like the phone always wants to stay in 2g. I have lte selected under networks and when I go into network operators and select t-mobile LTE it works fine for a bit but always ends up switching back to 2g until I go back in under network operators and select t-mobile lte again. I am in a 4g area and my Nexus 5 works fine. I am thinking of trying a new sim. Anyone else have this issue?

Are you rooted and using a KitKat or a Vanilla-based ROM? I had this same problem when running CM11 but not on the stock LG ROM.

Not rooted. All stock.

Have you just tried doing a Factory Reset?
