Root [T-Mobile] Need to return to stock for OTA

After not being able to cloak or hide root from certain apps with multiple methods I decide to return to stock until HTC support dies off. I have my stock backup, I decided to flash the recovery that came with the OTA(told this is one way to go back to stock). Anyways when I click to do a OTA update the phone stops mid way and pops up a red icon on the htc one on my screen. What step did I miss? I need the Sense 6 update to not feel outdated.
My phone is on the official 4.4.2 Tmobile update, Hboot 1.56, unlocked, and S-ON
Im to the point to smashing the phone, My entire day was wasted flashing these so called stock recovery's, multiple methods got to this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471869 and now my touch screen isn't working....

what happened with the stock backup ? and stock recovery ?

Did you try the T-mobile RUU from here ?

If you didn't put a stock ROM in the phone, or remove all changes made by whatever program you used to get root (if you had done it by hand you'd just delete su and busybox) and any changes you made with rooted apps, the OTA won't complete, because the phone still looks rooted, and OTA updates shouldn't work on rooted phones (they can brick the phone).

The rom I restored into, was completely stock. No root or anything messed with it, but some odd reason I still couldn't do OTA updates, probably something with the recovery I installed. Anyways I decided to do that method and ordering a miro usb to usb....but usps lost my package now.
Update got the phone back to normal, going to be stock for a while until I find a way to spoof my root. I did many methods to hide root, even deleted SU but ISIS wins this round because I want free jamba juice.

may want to go ahead and s off now if you are able. that way,you wont be screwed out of it by future updates. also, rescuing a soft bricked device is usually quite a bit easier when you dont have to work around htc's security checks. ;)

s off will not affect your ability to be 100% stock and recieve OTAs.

Right I will try to do that, I will just need to find a method for Hboot1.57. Hoping HTC doesn't kill support for this phone until we get 4.5 by that time I will upgrade to the M9 :)
