Root [T-Mobile] Note 2 Volume issues

I have A Samsung Note 2 and the Volume is controlling itself. Not only is the Volume acting strange, but it pauses itself when I have my Headphones plugged in trying to Listen to my media player???? Im completely lost and don't know what to do. Can Someone Help me????

and also the music pausing could be that your headphones are loose. do u have a protective case on your phone? if so it could be that the headphone plug isnt reaching all the way in and it is loose causing the phone to think you are unplugging your headphones which is why it would pause.
