Does anyone know with the T-Mobile pay as you go plan what data speeds you get with it? Is anyone here using it?

You get whatever speed T-Mobile offers in your neighborhood, which varies widely across the country.

It's the full T-Mobile "FauxG" speeds, which can be better than LTE depending on where you are or barely better than normal 3G. Long story short, your plan won't impact your speed as long as you stay under the data cap (if any).

How can you find out if you are getting bad HSPA+42 or 3G or what ever in the area you are in? I assume that fast speeds are going to be HSPA+42 from T-mobile.

If you are already on the network download the speedtest app. If you're not, find somebody who does have T-Mobile or AT&T in your area and have them download the app and test it.

Yes but it just says excellent service nothing as to whether it is excellent 3G or HSPA+42.
