I just signed up for a new SimpleChoice plan and they gave me a 'free' CellSpot.

I do get a low, but usable, signal at home. But I don't really have a need for this.

Just curious if anyone out there has any experience with one of these?

We've had one for years. They work well. The signal at home is better than it used to be and we probably don't really need it anymore, but we leave it running anyway.

They claimed it would boost my wifi signal. But I think it would be only if I allowed it to take over as my router. Which I don't think I am willing to do.

Yeah, the new do WiFi and LTE. Ours only does voice and 2G/3G.

I've had a few problems with Wifi calling and I found that I could only get MMS over Wifi with the stock Messages app. It is a better router than my old one and has a better Wifi signal. The main advantage for me is to use Wifi data instead of phone data.
