my dad is traveling with a friend to Europe (England and France) in a few weeks and has a Note 2 on T-Mobile. He talked with T-Mobile and they have apparently unlocked it for him. He wants to get a sim card for use over there, though the main thing he will be using it for will be uploading photos to facebook. The hotels he is staying in have free wifi, so I told him he could really not worry about it and just upload everything when back at the hotel and avoid the hassle.
However, I also introduced him to Google Translate today, which could be helpful, and he may want to use the Maps app as well. It's minor data usage as far as I know, and I will have him switch his phone from push to fetch to keep it under control, but what kind of sim card should I tell him te get, and how do the data rates work?
