T-Mobile UK Branding

I'm due for an upgrade next week and after trying both the HTC One X and Samsung GS3, I've decided to go for the S3. What I want to know, is how heavy is the branding on T-Mobile S3s? Do they pre-load any bloatware? How long do they usually take to push out firmware updates?

My current phone is a SIM-free handset (bought from mobilephonesdirect), so I've not had to deal with a carrier-branded handset before.

I believe that UK tmobile are not expected to brand their phones, however US tmobile most likely will.

If you are really THAT bothered about locked apps & bloatware, id suggest you just root it to uninstall and apps you don't want and get titanium backup to freese any apps you want to keep but not auto load. Just you might void your warranty if you do root the phone.

UK S3's were meant to be all unlocked & unbranded out the box tho, so hopefully no bloatware

I don't particularly want to root, for that reason tbh. The only reason I rooted my Desire was because of the cripplingly low amount of app storage space, but the S3 doesn't have that problem.

That's what I was told by a sales assistant in my local 3 store when I went to demo the S3, but the responses in this thread contradict that.

It's down to your provider at the end of the day, the longer they have phones in stock the more time they have to brand them.

My old portal came branded and networked locked but had no bloatware, but that was nearly 2.5 years ago
