I had to move recently, and haven't gotten my internet transferred to my new place, so I tried using my hotspot on my LG G2x. It worked fine, but I know that is something T-Mo wants their customers to pay for. Later that day, I got an alert saying, "T-Mobile Update Service". When I got 2.2 and 2.3 for my Nexus One, it was never associated with T-Mo like that. Does anyone know if this might be some sort of update to lock out my hotspot feature until I pay, or could this be 2.3 and the timing is just a coincidence?
