Hi all its time for me to start a new chapter on android fourms!!! I recently bought a slightly used gallaxy note II of of ebay its through page plus kinda a prepaid knockoff of verizon anyway the phone itself has a imei and a meid so im gussing its GSM compadable if i go and buy a tmobile sim card can i activate it if so will i have any problems to worry about i see to many of these phones that dont read there sim cards i really dont want that any feedback is appreciated

If you go to Settings > About Phone, what is listed as the Model Number? If it had been on Verizon's network (you're correct, PagePlus is a Verizon MVNO), it's most likely the SCH-I605.

If it is carrier unlocked, it sounds like you should be able to get it to work. As Prepaidguy9081 mentioned, you should be able to pop in the SIM, add in the T-Mobile APN settings (if necessary) and go. :)

Be sure to report back and let us know how it goes!

Isint page plus and verizon cdma?

Tmobile and att are gsm, use sim cards.

I know verizon phones also have sim slots and gsm antennas for roaming and over seas use, so the stock antenna/modem software should work.

But you may haft to plah with some hidden antenna dialer settings.

I just am not sure. Just making sure you are armed with as much knowledge as possible

Sorry about the late response I paid my bill an my note kinda sat on a shelf for awhile anyway I'm trying to activate it with t mobile and the only problem I'm having is the phone itself is sim locked is there any thing out there to get rid of that pesky sim lock I tried the *#8730... thing and it gave me a Verizon number can not be dialed thing the phone itself as far as I know worked on t mobiles end and my virgin mobile phone (old carrier) isn't activated any more I'm almost to the point of re flasing it with t mobiles ddl and bin files to see if I can remove the lock) is there any thing out there to remove sim locks I willing to pay for it to be done honestly I want my phone working as soon as possible I need it for work but I don't want to go back to my pos LG Optimus f3 the battery is starting to take a crap and it won't do a system update because I rooted it (kinda annoying) tried uprooting it didn't work and haven't had the time for a full reflash

Unlike AT&T, Verizon does not currently offer an online solution for an unlock request. Verizon customers will need to call*1-800-711-8300(Verizon Global Support) and ask the representative for a SIM unlock.

You could try calling them and do the old im going overseas thing. Depends on the phone and the rep youget. You might get lucky? Or see if ebay seller will help. Gl.

Good idea I made a opps though I Guss the phone is just the coma version der der der I figured it was gsm cause it had a imeI and a mied but I looked at the network settings and it's cdma only I still need a sim unlock but I think I'll spam the us cellular note 2 all things root four next thanks for the info though I might give that thing with Verizon so I can get my note 2 on virgins network my old/current carrier thanks for the help though
