Hi all I am new to android phones and this forum! I bought a used Galaxy Vibrant unlocked. If its unlocked is it automatically mean its rooted? I don't think so but again new to android! However I think the phone is rooted but I am not sure I have "Superuser Permissions" Icon, when I open it nothing happens! I am using my ATT sim card. Phone works, Web Browser works, The few apps I am able to download and install work! so for my issue If I do a factory reset I can sync my google account and download and install a few apps then it stops downloading!!! Doesnt seem to matter which apps I download or what order it just stops working. I have tried some normal things like reboot the phone, turn off wifi, pull battery etc....

When I go to the android market on my computer it says no device found. It did for a short time last night then I went to bed and tried it this morning and now it won't work please help before I throw this phone against a wall!!

unlocked doesnt mean its rooted. but since you have the superuser app it probably is. this app when you open it wont show you anything unless you have some root-needing apps and they asked you for root permissions. if it comes to the market try changing your google account to some other or maybe create a new one. maybe itll help
