T9/predictive text keyboard app?

Wifes got a motorola defy which, by default, comes with a standard keyboard only and not the old type T9 phone keyboard.

Anyway, she prefers this - anyone know of an app that will allow this use for SMS messaging?

Have you searched Appbrain for T9? IIRC Handcent has a T9 keyboard add-on (which, of course, requires Hancent). IIRC there are keyboard apps as well if T9 is desired in more than just an SMS app.

Yeh. Shes tried the Handcent T9 keyboard. OK but not great apparently.

Swype is faster & more popular now, on touch screens. Keyboard - I use Thickbuttons keyboard with my thumb, in portrait screen mode, one handed.

Google Pinyin and Better Keyboard both have decent T9 features.
