Help Tab 2 7.0 Lollipop and GAPPS problem

I tried to upgrade my ancient Tab 2 7.0 P-3100 this evening. Haven't used it in years.

Went for a Cyanogen 13 Marshmallow mod, which works, but makes the old tablet as clogged as an 80 year old on a diet of bread. It's taken up all the memory and storage of the tablet. Utterly useless.

I'd like to try Lollipop. I've downloaded CM12.1 version, but can't find a GAPPS version that will load properly.

Can anyone help? I'm looking all over for a veriosn that'll work.

I've stupidly deleted my old 4.2. installations, and can't roll back to an old version.

Choose "Arm, 5.1, & Pico" download that.. should be good to go..

Can you recommend a good, stable CM version of Kit Kat 4.4 that will work with those apps?

I just tried to install omni-4.4.4-20150520-p3100-FINAL and it was having none of it!

On that same site I linked, there's access to open Gapps v4. 4.. might work better than using OmniROM Gapps for a non-Omni OS.
 
Yeah, that's all good, but I can't find a stable version of CM 11 that doesn't crash on loading up. Tried around four.

Is there a sticky thread, or central knowledge base or thread of downloads? I am looking, but am coming up blank.
 
Ok, I give up. Happy to go back to a loadable KitKat rom and GAPPS.

Any idea where to start? I've posted on XDA. I can't find anything that works off the net.

no idea on where you can find them.....maybe try and message one of the developers over at xda......mainly the ones who made tab 2 roms back in the day, and ask them if they know of anything or have anything you can use.
