I say turns off, really it's auto-shutdown, since a long press of the power button runs the boot up process; a short press does nothing.
since the tablet was kinda warm, I used a utility I have on it to see what the temperature (of what component, not sure) was, 37C / 95F -- I don't know what the setting is to trigger a thermal shutdown, but it will boot up right away, which isn't what I'd expect if it really was overheating..?
has anyone else seen this (or similar) behavior? rooted, running 4.4.2
