I wonder why they went with a 4:3 instead of 16:9 form factor, especially for the 8.0. The width is going to be a deal breaker for me.

I would've agree with you about a year ago, but the 4:3 aspect ratio is the primary reason for my buying an S2. I'm going to mainly use it to read textbooks and PDFs and this aspect ratio makes it SO much more comfortable to do so. Mind you, in all these years, I've never watched movies/tv shows on any of my PDAs, phones or tablets.
