Table stand

Allright, thanks for replies! Found the stand. A shame it didnt do what I thought. Do not need an extra battery, thought it used nfc technology to charge the battery. That would be awesome;-)

NFC is Near Field Communication. It will never charge a battery. You're thinking of inductive charging which is a separate capability that the phone doesn't have stock.

Here's a low cost (free if you can borrow some work office supplies) alternative.

I can't take a picture of it w/ a phone in it since my phone is the only camera I have at work. But here's an ancient HP16c calculator on it.

I have to say, it is scary how well this works. Right after I saw this, I headed straight for the office supply closet and made my very own in about 2 minutes time. Now, I just need a non-slip pad to stick underneath it so there is no chance of sliding.

I know right?!

I wish I could take full credit, but I saw this online somewhere (not sure where). My contribution is attaching two of the big/little combos together.

The weight of the phone and the charging cable usually keeps the thing in place, but something non-slip is a good idea.

It actually stays in place just fine. The issue I have is where I made space on my desk for it. I have it just behind my monitor (which is tall enough not to block the view of the screen but short enough to block anyone else from being able to see it well) and mousepad. So, I had a little trouble with the mouse cord moving it, and I also had trouble when I was blindly reaching for it and sliding it a bit. So, really it is more of an issue for me. Definitely going to look into a non-slip pad, maybe something crappy like a small piece of non-slip kitcken cabinet liner. This, for me, is a great alternative because I haven't seen anyone make a good horizontal dock yet. Hopefully one gets made, if so, then I'll actually spend some money for one.

Let's start a Kickstarter project for the binder-clip design. I think about a half a million dollars should be a good start. ;)
